Designed by Mariana Pellegrino Soto in 2017, the Alba lighting collection draws inspiration from nature’s purest element—a drop of water. This concept is elegantly translated into luminous, opaline glass spheres, seamlessly integrated with geometric structures to create a striking visual contrast.
Available in multiple configurations, the Alba collection offers versatile lighting solutions. The table lamp balances the glowing drop atop an asymmetric satin brass frame, exuding modern sophistication. The suspension models feature single or double compositions, with the latter incorporating an anodic bronze-finished metal structure that supports the glowing spheres.
The wall-mounted variations reinterpret classic forms with an inverted L-shaped design, emphasizing elegance and architectural finesse. Completing the collection, the floor lamps introduce sculptural elements with large, rectangular brass stems supporting luminous drops at varied heights, creating an interplay of ambient and direct light.
The Alba series embodies the essence of contemporary Italian design, merging organic inspiration with refined craftsmanship. Its harmonious combination of materials and fluid forms makes it a timeless statement in modern interiors.
Mariana Pellegrino Soto
Mariana Pellegrino Soto, from Caracas, Venezuela, is an emerging star in contemporary lighting design. After graduating from Italian Scientific High School Agostino Codazzi, she studied Product Design at Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome.
Her talent shone with the Best Packaging Award at the Global Bottled Water Awards 2016 for “Acqua Santa Maria,” enhanced by an Erasmus program in Barcelona. Her Alba collection thesis with Oluce became a produced design. She now thrives as a design developer at F&N Compositi.
